after teaching wednesday

I taught the Capoiera a class on Wednesday. People seemed to like the way the class went. I felt like we could have gotten through more material if it was more organized. I didn't want to stifle other people's input just to run the class "my way."
The class started with a warm up of light movements then agility around the floor including jogging, grapevine, bear walk, aus and rolles. We then did jinga and some kicks. I saw some new student looked really lost and then had Kibbee lead some more kicks while I worked with them. We went over jinga and some stretches. Kibbee went over kicks and esquivas. I went back in and covered a few more kicks then let Enrollado teach the 3 esquiva warm up. It was already 825 when I took back over and covered martello and bensou.
After the warm up and all the kicking drills I split the class into two sections, one with kibbee and one with the maculele troup. We went through the choreography as well as we could. Each section took a little bit of work to coordinate, but we got through the whole performance by 9 pm. I let everyone have time on the floor until Kibbee was done training with the newer students.
I felt like the class was a little chaotic, but since it was a class of adults that were there voluntarily I felt confident that everyone was taking responsibility for themselves and the class as a whole.
If there were more time I would have sung corridos with everyone, but unfortunately time ran out with the maculele.
